Jilu Zhang and Kaicheng Guxue

Resources Policy, 2024, vol. 92, issue C

Abstract: The complex relationships between natural and mineral resources, sustainability, lowering carbon emissions, and economic growth are examined in this article. In order to navigate this intricate landscape, we utilize the Time-Varying Vector Autoregression (TVAR) model, which is particularly suitable for capturing the dynamic interactions between variables as they change over time. Using an interdisciplinary approach, it looks into how vital these resources are in determining how economic development plans and environmental regulations are shaped. It clarifies how sustainable management of natural and mineral resources can reduce carbon emissions while promoting economic growth by drawing on empirical data and theoretical frameworks. The analysis emphasizes the importance of implementing integrated strategies that balance the need to protect the environment and financial needs. The article advances knowledge of the intricate relationships between resource use, carbon reduction initiatives, and economic prosperity by combining many academic viewpoints.
