Abstract:
Among alternatives that ensure the survival of companies, innovation is one of the most relevant. Innovation may include dimensions such as: (i) the raw material; (ii) the product; (iii) the process; (iv) the market; (v) the way the company is managed. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the implementation of a new way to manage industries of mineral extraction through the integrated use of Lean Production and Mining Engineering concepts.
