De-carbonizing electricity generation: It won't be easy, cheap, nor enough

Fereidoon P. Sioshansi

Utilities Policy, 2009, vol. 17, issue 3-4, 217-224

Abstract: De-carbonizing electricity generation is necessary and should be implemented on a massive scale on many fronts and as soon as feasible to avert climate change. But all indications are that this-while necessary-will not be sufficient in the longer term. We must also pay attention to how energy is used, including fundamental changes in lives and lifestyles.
