Ways to promote investments in sustainable energy utilities in the central Asian regional economic cooperation program region

Abstract: The central purpose of this study is to evaluate the green energy investment pattern in 10 CAREC (Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation Program region) economies from 2010 to 2021. To this end, the interactive fixed effect (IFE) estimator is employed. The empirical outputs reveal that green energy investment is affected by social, economic, and financial variables. The openness of financial markets has a positive and significant coefficient. The CAREC economies are recommended to develop green financing markets, poverty alleviation, and attract the private sector to sustainable power generation.
