Marine Policy, 1992, vol. 16, issue 2, 115-117
Abstract:
The article examines the significance of the 1991 Fundamental Principles of Civil Legislation of the USSR and the Republics for maritime transport. The new regime of contractual relations is analysed, using carriage of goods as an example. The difference between treatment of Soviet juridical and natural persons and foreign juridical and natural persons is explained and it is argued that a uniform system governing contractual law is essential.
