The 1989 Salvage Convention and Lloyd's Open Form 1990: Are they working?

Abstract: The article relates the 1989 Salvage Convention to the LOF 1980. The changes which have been introduced to LOF 1990 are discussed and criticized and the underlying objectives of the 1989 Salvage Convention (to encouraged salvors to go to the assistance of stricken vessels) are outlined.
