Abstract: This article examines the legal regime and overall implications of Portugal's Law n. 17/2014, 10 April, which established the legal basis for Portugal's policy on marine spatial planning and management of the national maritime space. To allow a comprehensive analysis, this article includes an unofficial translation of the law.
