Abstract:
This paper applied emergy analysis to the systematic evaluation of a CHP plant EIP. Considering both material circulation and energy cascade utilization and clean energy technology of CHP plant EIP, modified emergy indices for CHP plant EIP were presented. Three representative of CHP plant EIP, as cases study, were accounted. They were pulverized coal-fired CHP plant EIP, coal-fired Pressurized Fluidized Bed Combustion Combined Cycle (PFBC-CC) plant EIP and coal-fired Integrated Gasification Combined-Cycle (IGCC) plant EIP, respectively. The emergy sustainable index of the IGCC plant EIP is found to be 6.44, PFBC-CC plant EIP is found to be 4.88, pulverized coal-fired CHP plant EIP is found to be 1.39.
