Abstract:
Uncertain multi-state k-out-of-n systems, as generalizations of uncertain binary k-out-of-n systems, are investigated in this paper, of which the components could be in multiple states. Some formulas are derived to evaluate the reliability index of an uncertain multi-state k-out-of-n system. Besides, the concept of importance measure is introduced to describe the relative importance of the components in an uncertain multi-state k-out-of-n system, and a binary search algorithm is designed to compute the importance measures of the components.
