Abstract:
Systems operating in confined spaces often exhibit strong interactions with their environment, leading to mutual dependence between system degradation and environment states. Existing research typically overlooks the system’s impact on the environment, resulting in less effective or inefficient maintenance decisions. Moreover, the spares required for maintenance are also affected by this dependence. To prevent unexpected spare shortages and improve maintenance effectiveness, this study jointly optimizes maintenance and spare part ordering by explicitly considering system-environment mutual dependence.
