Analysis on the diffusion hazards of dynamic leakage of gas pipeline

Yang Zhao, Li Xihong and Lai Jianbo

Reliability Engineering and System Safety, 2007, vol. 92, issue 1, 47-53

Abstract: Through analysis on the process of gas pipeline's dynamic leakage, the calculating model of leakage ratio has been established. According to the variable characteristic of dynamic leakage ratio, the differential equations of inflow diffusion, and combining the relevant original and boundary conditions, the diffusion model of dynamic leakage of gas pipeline has been obtained by using Green function to solve the above differential equations. Based on the instance, the effect of the hole diameter, the shutoff time of gas feed, wind speed and distance to the maximal diffusion concentration, poisoning, burning and blasting areas have been discussed.
