Abstract:
The integration of stochastic distributed energy sources and loads has introduced unprecedented levels of uncertainty in power systems. This uncertainty poses significant challenges to power system stability due to the resulting variability of power flows and system inertia. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the methods proposed in the scientific literature for assessing the small-signal stability of power systems under uncertain conditions. The review critically examines the key features, advantages and disadvantages of each method presented and identifies relevant research gaps in the field, suggesting potential future research directions.
