Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 2013, vol. 26, issue C, 322-331

Abstract: Wind power and solar PV power are the two major renewable energy technologies that are currently under rapid development in China. In this paper, the similarities and differences between the development trajectories of the two sectors are examined in terms of development status, development policy and development trend. Five interesting findings from the comparison are obtained and several policy recommendations are made. This paper contributes to the study on China's renewable energy policy from a new perspective.
