Transport energy consumption and saving in China

Abstract: At present, the global energy consumption of transport sectors is about one third of the total energy consumption of the world, such a proportion in China accounts for about 20%. Over the past decades, with the continuous development of China's economy, China's energy consumption increases rapidly, China became the world's biggest energy consumer in the year of 2009. Meanwhile, China's transport energy consumption grows greatly, and the proportion of the transport terminal energy consumption is expanding considerably.
