Review of diffusion–absorption refrigeration technologies

J.L. Rodríguez-Muñoz and J.M. Belman-Flores

Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 2014, vol. 30, issue C, 145-153

Abstract: A review of diffusion–absorption refrigeration technologies has been done in this work in order to promote their main characteristics in terms of the refrigeration process, their applications, work fluids, current trends and limitations, among others. Over 70 publications in the field were analyzed concluding that diffusion–absorption technology represents a complementary and viable alternative in the field of refrigeration technologies for small cooling capacity, due to an increase in the current demand of refrigeration and air-conditioning devices.
