An overview of renewable energy in Spain. The small hydro-power case

Abstract: Development of hydroelectric energy, a renewable source of power, is guaranteed and maintained by the Plan of Promotion of the Renewable Energies 1999-2010 (PLAFER). This is arrived at by means of a definition and establishment of a series of power objectives in which an increase in the hydroelectric sector is anticipated. This study corresponds to a revision of the present situation of the mini-hydraulic energy, it is expected of evolution, and development in Spain.
