Psychosocial trajectories before and after spousal loss: Does gender matter?

Abstract: Prior studies have suggested that spousal loss can have negative impacts on widowed persons’ lives. However, few studies have examined whether time since spousal loss is related to changes in psychosocial outcomes and there are gender differences in psychosocial trajectories in response to spousal loss.
