The association in time of a binary semi-Markov process

Statistics & Probability Letters, 1992, vol. 14, issue 5, 343-348

Abstract: In the study of maintained coherent systems the information that the stochastic process governing the system is associated can be used to provide bounds for the system reliability. A binary semi-Markov pocess is appropriate to model many repairable systems. Hence, a sufficient condition for association in time of a semi-Markov process is derived.
