Statistics & Probability Letters, 2020, vol. 163, issue C

Abstract: Recently, there is an increasing interest to study number theory by using large and moderate deviations from probability theory. In this paper, we prove the large and moderate deviation principles for the Erdös–Kac theorem in the polynomial rings of finite fields, which extends the results of Mehrdad and Zhu (2016).
