Statistics & Probability Letters, 2021, vol. 179, issue C

Abstract: In this paper we study the number of observations that occur between successive record times and fall into a random region determined by a current record value and a given Borel set. We describe the asymptotic behavior of this random number in the case when the population is tail-less.
