Abstract:
In this paper, the concepts of conditional spacings and normalized conditional ones are introduced when a series system with independent and identically distributed components fails at time t. First the marginal survival function and joint survival function of conditional spacings are obtained. And some stochastic comparisons between different spacings are conducted. Moreover, the case when the component lifetimes are independent and distributed as Exponential is investigated. And some statistical properties of conditional spacings are naturally given. In the end, the dependence for the conditional spacings is investigated.
