The calculation of alias pattern in three-level regular designs

Statistics & Probability Letters, 2023, vol. 202, issue C

Abstract: In regular designs, the alias relation reflects the confounding information among various effects and is a basis of classification patterns in optimal criteria. The paper aims to study the alias pattern of three-level regular designs. Based on the word-length pattern, we obtain the explicit formulas of the alias relations among all effects for three-level designs. Some examples are given to illustrate these results. And all alias patterns of 27-run MA designs are listed by alias matrices.
