Morphological Markov random fields

Jens Michael Carstensen

Statistics & Probability Letters, 1994, vol. 20, issue 4, 321-326

Abstract: We introduce a set of morphologically specified Markov random fields, that extends the standard set of models by using the operators of mathematical morphology. These models capture important morphological features in images and this is illustrated by Monte Carlo simulations.
