Orthogonal 2k and 3k factorial designs constructed using sequences with zero autocorrelation

Christos Koukouvinos

Statistics & Probability Letters, 1996, vol. 28, issue 1, 59-63

Abstract: In factorial experiments the use of orthogonal designs provides better estimates for the main effects and interactions. In 2k and 3k factorial experiments, we obtain orthogonal designs from Hadamard matrices and weighing matrices, respectively. Sequences with zero autocorrelation can be used to construct Hadamard matrices and weighing matrices. In this paper, we give new sets of sequences with entries from [0, ±a, ±b, ±c, ±d] on the commuting variables a, b, c, d and zero autocorrelation. Then we use these sequences to construct some new orthogonal designs.
