Two-stage stochastic model for carcinogenesis with time-dependent parameters

Gabriella Serio

Statistics & Probability Letters, 1984, vol. 2, issue 2, 95-103

Abstract: In this paper the author studies a two-stage stochastic model for carcinogenesis with time-dependant parameters. This model is viewed also as a generalization of the model of Moolgavkar, Venzon (1979) for the adult tumors. Via the class of the two-stage models it is possible to relate the epidemiological characteristic to the biological evolution of the tissue in which this disease appears.
