An ordered relation between the ANOVA estimator of the intraclass correlation and a kappa-type statistic in binary data

Abstract: The ANOVA estimator of the intraclass correlation coefficient for categorical data given in Landis and Koch (1977) will be shown to be always greater than or equal to the kappa-type statistic suggested in Fleiss (1971).
