Sufficient conditions for negative association of random variables

Taizhong Hu and Jinjin Hu

Statistics & Probability Letters, 1999, vol. 45, issue 2, 167-173

Abstract: Let X=(X1,X2,...,Xn) be a random vector of n independent random variables and be an increasing function. This paper investigates the other forms of [psi] and such that the conditional distribution of X, given [psi](X)[set membership, variant][Delta], is NA under some mild conditions. An interpretation of the main results in reliability is presented.
