Some constructions for balanced n-ary residual treatment effects designs

Statistics & Probability Letters, 2000, vol. 47, issue 4, 347-350

Abstract: In residual treatment effects designs the effect of the treatment continues beyond the period of its application. Recently, Chawla and Dey (J. Indian Soc. Agric. Statist. 51(1) (1998) 42-50) have developed a series of balanced ternary change-over designs in which a treatment occurs in a given sequence at most twice. In this paper, we have given construction of some new families of balanced ternary residual treatment effects designs and also balanced n-ary residual treatment effects designs where the treatment can occur at most n times in a given sequence, but the same treatment does not appear in two consecutive periods.
