Multifold sumsets and fast decreasing of concentration functions

A. S. Fainleib

Statistics & Probability Letters, 2001, vol. 51, issue 4, 415-421

Abstract: The subject of this paper is a connection between the decreasing of concentration function of the sum of a growing number of independent random variables and the behaviour of the concentration function of the summands. The result is based on some metrical properties of k-fold sumsets for large k.
