Graphical analysis of residuals in stratified four-fold tables

Abstract:
This article describes graphical techniques in the analysis of residuals for stratified four-fold tables, which are convenient ways to isolate peculiar tables. The weighted least squares (WLS) method (Koch and Imrey, 1985) can be used to examine the standardized residuals for a model of non three-factor interaction in stratified four-fold tables. These procedures are illustrated by a statistical problem arising from retrospective studies.
