An estimation procedure for a spatial-temporal model

Ohmar Z. Landagan and Erniel Barrios ()

Statistics & Probability Letters, 2007, vol. 77, issue 4, 401-406

Abstract: A spatial-temporal model is postulated, possibly allowing for spatial units of irregular shapes. An estimation procedure that imbeds the Cochranne-Orcutt procedure into the backfitting algorithm is proposed. Using agricultural data, the method yields superior forecast to some common approaches.
