A new class of negative binomial distributions of order k

Abstract: Philippou, Georghiou and Philippou (1983) introduced the negative binomial distributions (including geometric distributions as special cases) and the Poisson distributions of order k. Since then several other discrete distributions of order k were studied. In this paper, a new class of negative binomial distributions of order k is discussed. The probability distributions and the probability generating functions of these distributions are derived.
