Note on the threshold theorem of a heterogeneous SIR epidemic

Hamid El Maroufy

Statistics & Probability Letters, 2013, vol. 83, issue 1, 292-296

Abstract: We consider a stochastic model for the spread of an epidemic in a closed population consisting of two interacting groups, in which infectives cannot change their group, but are able to infect outside it. A threshold theorem analogous to that of Whittle is fairly proved for this model.
