A simple characterization of non-randomized admissible procedures in group testing

Abstract:
The group testing problem is to classify each of n items as either good or defective. In this note, it is shown that a non-randomized procedure is admissible in the class of all randomized and non-randomized procedures, if it does not include any test whose outcome can be inferred from previous test outcomes.
