Abstract: This paper investigates the factors affecting the implementation of IoT-based smart skin monitoring systems. The main purpose of this research is to critically analyze the awareness level of people toward skin diseases, awareness of IoT-based smart skin monitoring systems and awareness of the benefits of using IoT-based smart skin monitoring systems. The study is based on a quantitative approach. The survey questionnaire method was used to gather data from the respondents. Data collected from 385 respondents were analyzed using SPSS. The results of the analysis indicated that the implementation of an IoT-based smart skin monitoring system is influenced by the awareness level of people toward skin diseases, awareness of an IoT-based smart skin monitoring system and awareness of the benefits of using an IoT-based smart skin monitoring system. The findings of this research will be valuable to technology service providers who are involved in developing such technologies in the medical field and implementing such a system for the benefit of society.
