Abstract:
This study investigates the role of inter-organizational information and communication technology (Inter-OICT) in enhancing e-commerce logistics performance (LP) and resilience (LR). Grounded in organizational information processing theory (OIPT) and relational exchange theory (RET), the research outlines how Inter-OICT influences LP and LR through the mediating role of inter-organizational trust (Inter-OT) and the moderating effect of organizational flexibility (OFLX). A cross-sectional survey of logistics managers facilitated the testing of these relationships. The findings indicate that Inter-OICT significantly boosts both LP and LR, with Inter-OT serving as a crucial mediator by enhancing the effectiveness of ICT deployments. Additionally, organizational flexibility was found to strengthen the impact of Inter-OICT on both performance metrics. This research underlines the importance of strategic ICT integration and flexible organizational practices in maximizing logistics efficacy and resilience, presenting novel insights into the dynamics of technology adoption in the logistics sector.
