Privatization in telecommunications -- empty slogan or strategic tool?
Bessel Kok
Telecommunications Policy, 1992, vol. 16, issue 9, 699-704
Abstract:
This article discusses the various approaches to privatization as a general phenomenon and as applied to telecommunications in particular. The sector is becoming a complex battleground, and the necessary finance is growing harder to find. The author offers three models of privatization and describes in detail the emerging European model, where privatization is unlikely to be complete.
