A strategy for Sweden's information technology infrastructure

Arne Leeb-Lundberg

Telecommunications Policy, 1994, vol. 18, issue 8, 642-650

Abstract: This article compares key factors of information technology infrastructure (ITI) development in six countries to help draw conclusions about Sweden's position relative to best international practice. The asssessment includes the technical characteristics of network infrastructures and the policies and regulatory frameworks in support of their operation and future development. By identifying what constitutes a world-class ITI by today's standards, the aim is to identify any gaps to ensure Sweden is a leading ITI nation in the year 2000.
