Abstract:
This biblioessay examines a wide range of recent literature to consider the impact and issues raised by new communications technologies. It surveys the extent of the impact of new communications technologies, enthusiasm for and criticism of the information society concept, the effects of television, and the impact of new communications technologies on democracy and governance, work and employment, and education.
