Interaction patterns in audio teleconferencing

John Carey

Telecommunications Policy, 1981, vol. 5, issue 4, 304-314

Abstract: A telecommunications demonstration project in a rural state provided a natural setting in which to examine patterns of interaction during large and small group audio teleconferences. Five alternative models of information flow are plotted along with their organization features, and implications are drawn for the design and planning of teleconferences.
