Abstract:
This paper proposes a new model to study travelers’ target-oriented route choice behavior with perception errors on the tolled traffic network. The prominent characteristics of our model are stochastic correlation between perceived travel time (PTT) and perceived travel cost (PTC) captured by copula, and target interaction. Furthermore, we propose a target-oriented bi-attribute user equilibrium with PTT and PTC, and targets for route travel time and route travel cost in the equilibrium model are both endogenously determined by travelers’ confidence levels. Finally, we examine the impact of targets on the equilibrium results via analytical proof and numerical demonstration.
