Operating a foreign-invested enterprise in China: challenges for managers and management researchers

Abstract: In the 20 years since China re-opened to foreign investment, the challenges of doing business in China have become clear. In this article, we review some of the difficulties foreign investors face when running their businesses and suggest ways that management researchers can forge a better understanding of these problems.
