Abstract:
Over the last twenty years the number of published Japanese unexamined patent documents has risen dramatically. The number of foreign counterparts to these however, has dropped in the last five years. Yet Japan is still maintaining its intellectual property rights, especially in Europe, by filing under the EPO convention.
