Abstract:
The patent agency service in China has been developed simultaneously with the Chinese patent system since the Chinese Patent Law was promulgated on 12 March 1984. The service has been playing an important role and has contributed greatly to the successful implementation of the Chinese Patent Law. In order to meet the needs of the market economy principle in China, it is necessary to unhook the subsidiary relationship of some patent agencies from the governmental administrative departments. The decisive change of the system is now under way without delay.
