Abstract:
Since publication of a report in 1992 on a comparison of Swedish and Japanese industrial property management there has been a surprising revival of interest in patenting activity in Sweden. The number of patent applications filed with the Swedish office has increased by 30% since 1992 and there has been a greatly increased demand for patent information services. The Swedish office has developed its computerisation in order to use its documentation more efficiently to meet the demand for services such as industrial analysis and is making much greater use of commercial databases.
