Experience of a national patent library as an intermediary of using patent information on CD-ROM
David Newton
World Patent Information, 1996, vol. 18, issue 1, 15-18
Abstract:
After explaining the status and function of the British Library, the author characterises the types of people who make use of patent collections in the library and the UK Patents Information Network. The current facilities for using CD-ROM products within the library are described and the author sets out some of the problems that have been encountered with such products. The paper concludes with some thoughts about the future of CD-ROM in patent libraries.
