Abstract:
The nature, definition, typical services, utility and future developments in Open Patent Services (OPS) are described. This is with particular reference to the European Patent Office (EPO), and German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO) systems. The impact of OPS on both information providers and users is discussed.
