Abstract:
The author reviews the European Patent Office patent information policy, which was established in 1988. Topics covered include - the massive changes over these 18 years in communication technology, the European community, the user profile and the commercial database providers, - patent information today, - aspects of the policy to retain, - possible changes needed, and - review completion timescale.
