The U.S. patent classification or the international patent classification: Which system should the people's Republic of China adopt?

Xu Yi-Ping and P. James Terragno

World Patent Information, 1980, vol. 2, issue 3, 125-131

Abstract: The philosophy, principle and structure of the US Patent Classification and of the International Patent Classification are discussed and compared. It is found that the IPC is easier for the public to use, and since it is internationally applied, it should be adopted by the People's Republic of China.
