Results of a statistical study of the references cited in the search reports established by the EPO (January 1981)

Robert Baré

World Patent Information, 1981, vol. 3, issue 2, 56-60

Abstract: Statistical studies were made in order to determine whether or not it was possible to limit the searches in time, to documents from a certain country or to patent-documents only. It seems that in certain fields the search could disregard the non-patent literature but all other kind of limitation seems to result in a loss of information.
